what they mean? They are important because they can tell you about the person’s
training, proven ability and commitment to professionalism. We work hard to
stay at the ‘top of our game’ and we spend many days and dollars every year to

designations that we have earned through the National Association of Realtors
or through the local specialized courses.
CRS Designation – The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS)
is the highest Designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales
field. This designation is a master’s degree in residential real estate
brokerage. The CRS Designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both
experience and education. Since 1977, the Council of Residential
Specialists has been conferring the CRS Designation on agents who meet its
GRI Designation – The Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI)
symbol is the mark of a real estate professional that has made the commitment
to provide a high level of professional services by securing a strong
educational foundation. REALTORS® with the GRI designation are highly trained
in many areas of real estate to better serve and protect their clients.
– The Certified Distressed Property Expert® (CDPE) is the mark of a real estate
professional that has a thorough understanding of complex issues in the
turbulent real estate industry and knowledge of foreclosure avoidance options
available to homeowners. CDPEs can provide solutions, specifically short sales,
for homeowners facing market hardships.
– REALTORS® with the e-PRO Designation have successfully completed the e-PRO
training program for real estate professionals. This Internet Certification is
endorsed by the National Association of REALTORS® and indicates proficiency in
online marketing. The e-PRO course teaches professionals the nuts and bolts of
working with real estate on-line: websites, e-mail, on-line tools, and most of
all, what today’s consumer really wants.
– Realtors with the Certified Short Sale Negotiator (CSSN) Designation have
completed the course on professional negotiation and short sale training on the
short sale process and the different negotiations necessary to successfully
close a short sale throughout the volatile housing market. This included negotiating with the banks, and
properly completing all required forms for the short sale.
